Academic Advisement Information:
Academic advisement at the University of South Carolina Sumter is seen as a vital process in any student’s academic success and therefore students are required to be advised each semester and will not be able to register until they have been advised.
Freshmen and Transfer Students: Academic advisement will be conducted during your attendance to orientation. Accepted students can register for orientation at https://ire.uscsumter.edu/newstudsoar/newstuds.php
Continuing Students: Academic advisement will take place each semester and students will be notified, via gamecock e-mail and flyers on campus, as to when they can sign-up for an advisement appointment. Students can expect advisement to begin to take place in March and October of each year.
Aside from your regularly scheduled advisement appointments you can contact your advisor at any time to arrange an appointment concerning your progress.
