
File Make-up:
- Each year by July 1 the Administrative Assistant for Academic Affairs will provide a binder to each faculty member scheduled for post-tenure review. The binder will include the following items:
- post tenure file form**
- annual faculty appraisal forms - justification and box scores for the faculty member**
- peer review forms - justification and box scores for the faculty member**
- copies of grade distributions for courses taught each semester and averages for his/her division and for the entire faculty***
- course evaluation results for courses taught each semester and averages for his/her division and for the entire faculty***
A partial set of materials can be made available prior to July 1. Interested faculty should contact the Administrative Assistant for Academic Affairs for details.
The following documents should be a part of the post tenure file:
- An up-to-date vita (a historical vita since the last expanded review...tenure, promotion, or post-tenure review).
- The previous annual faculty appraisal form (s) since the last review.
- Student evaluation summary data from courses taught since the last review.
- Sabbatical leave reports where applicable.
- Peer-review instruments presenting data since the last review.
- The evaluations of the peer review committee since the last post-tenure review.
- A brief recommendation from the Division Chair.
- A statement of four (4) pages or less from the faculty member about past and anticipated future activity.
The post tenure file will be arranged in the following order with each section tabulated:
- Candidate's Personal Statement*
- Evidence of Effective Teaching*
- Evidence of Scholarship*
- Evidence of Service*
- Other Items
