Most policies related to the Office of Records and Registration are included in the USC Columbia and USC Sumter Bulletins. The Records and Registration policies included in this manual meet one or more of the following situations:

1. The policy represents a clarification of the policy listed in the USC Columbia Bulletin. For example, the names of offices handling certain procedures may be different at USC Sumter than on the Columbia campus.
2. The policy addresses a unique situation at the USC Sumter campus. For example, USC Sumter's relationship with other USC campuses in providing junior and senior courses on the Sumter campus.

If there is a perceived or actual conflict between USC Sumter and USC Columbia policy, the USC Columbia policy takes precedence over the USC Sumter policy.
