Updated bimonthly, CPI provides citations to papers and poster sessions presented at major scientific meetings around the world. It includes complete ordering information to obtain preprints, abstracts, proceedings and other publications derived from the conference, together with title and author information needed to track the specific papers.

Popular science magazines, professional journals, as well as The New York Times Science Section (published weekly on Tuesday) are included.

Ingenta provides keyword access to the table of contents pages from over 17,000 journals. It lists over 7 million articles that have appeared since 1988 and includes periodicals from all subject areas although it concentrates heavily on the sciences and social sciences.

The Arts and Humanities Citation Index, Science Citation Index, and Social Science Citation Index make up the Web of Science system, which collectively indexes more than 8,000 peer-reviewed journals cover-to-cover. It provides users with complete bibliographic data, searchable author abstracts when available, and cited references from the world's most influential journals.
