JSTOR offers full-text online access to back issues of more than 100 scholarly journals in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. Issues are entered online after having been published for 2-5 years. The entire printed matter of the journal as published is included, and coverage for most titles begins with their starting numbers. Adobe Acrobat Reader is necessary to view and print from JSTOR.

This dictionary database offers pronunciation, word function, and simple etymology information while the thesaurus provides word function and hot-linked synonyms.

An index of journal articles, books and dissertations. Produced by the Modern Language Association, the electronic version of the bibliography dates back to 1963 and contains over 1.6 million citations from more than 4,400 journals and series and 1,000 book publishers. Coverage is international and subjects include literature, language and linguistics, folklore, literary theory & criticism, dramatic arts, as well as the historical aspects of printing and publishing. Listings on rhetoric and composition and the history, theory and practice of teaching language and literature are also included. In addition, the MLA Directory of Periodicals and the association's proprietary thesaurus used to assign descriptors to each record in the bibliography are also included.

Updated quarterly, OED Online contains the complete text of the 20-volume Second Edition and the 3-volume Additions Series. Many Additions entries are additions to entries that previously were published in the Second Edition; they are appended to the end of the appropriate Second Edition entry. Complete entries published for the first time in the Additions volumes are presented as free-standing entries along with entries from the Second Edition.
