ERIC is the US national bibliographic database of education literature. It is sponsored by the US Department of Education and consists of 2 files: Resources in Education, which covers document literature, and Current Index to Journals in Education, which covers published journal literature from over 775 periodicals. It also includes some full text of ERIC Digests, which summarize various topics and provide references to related information.

JSTOR offers full-text online access to back issues of more than 100 scholarly journals in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. Issues are entered online after having been published for 2-5 years. The entire printed matter of the journal as published is included, and coverage for most titles begins with their starting numbers. Adobe Acrobat Reader is necessary to view and print from JSTOR.

For middle school students, their teachers and parents, this database includes magazine, newspaper and reference sources on all subjects; full text articles from 130+ magazines, with full image of 60+ titles; and maps, articles from reference books and newswire articles. It provides access to short stories, poems, quizzes, experiments and activities and offers Toolbox, which helps students learn research and writing skills.

For K-5 students, their teachers and parents, this database provides access to articles, pictures and reference information on all subjects. It contains full text articles from 120+ children's magazines, reference sources and newspapers as well as 2,500 searchable images and maps, and reading levels are assigned to most articles. It also includes activities, recipes, experiments, poetry and stories by children and Teacher Toolbox, which helps teach research and writing skills.

New Book of Knowledge Encyclopedia | | |
For grades 3 and up, this online encyclopedia offers reference information on all subjects with current events and educational features. Primary Search | | |
Designed specifically for elementary school libraries and public library children's rooms, contains full text for more than 60 popular, elementary school magazines. All full text articles are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles). In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for nearly 100 magazines. Full text is also available for over 100 student pamphlets. Examples of publications covered in Primary Search include: Appleseeds, Boys' Life, Cobblestone, Cricket, Highlights for Children, Hopscotch, Jack & Jill, Ladybug, Ranger Rick, Science World, Spider, SuperScience, Time for Kids, Turtle, and many more. This database also provides the American Heritage Children's Dictionary, 3rd Edition from Houghton Mifflin, and an Image Collection of 107,135 photos, maps and flags. Many full text titles are available in native (searchable) PDF, or scanned-in-color. Full text backfiles go as far back as 1989, while indexing and abstract backfiles go as far back as 1984.

The PsycARTICLES database covers general psychology and specialized, basic, applied, clinical and theoretical research in psychology. The database contains more than 39,000 searchable full text articles from 44 journals published by the American Psychological Association and 8 from allied organizations. It contains all journal articles, letters to the editor and errata from each of the 52 journals. Coverage spans from 1985 to the present.

Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection| | |
