Applying to USC Sumter Is Easy!


The University of South Carolina Sumter welcomes your application for admission. The following steps will help guide you through the online process. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Our system can only process one application per person for the same term to Sumter so please do not apply more than once for the same semester. Browser Compatibility - Complete the application using Safari, Chrome or Firefox. Avoid Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge.

Step 1: Create Your Login ID and PIN

  • The first step in the online application process is creating a Login ID and six-digit PIN.  Keep this in formation on hand as you will use it to complete the application process (should you need to stop and restart) and to check the status of your application once it has been submitted.

  • To create your Login ID and PIN, click on the "Admissions First-Time User" button at the bottom of this page

  • After you have created your Login ID and PIN, you will continue on to "Select a Campus"  (select USC Sumter), "Select an Application Type" and "Apply for Admissions." Please use the proper upper and lower case letters when filling out your application (Ex: John Smith not JOHN SMITH or john smith.) Remember, this will serve as part of your official academic record.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Please complete only ONE application per term per campus.  If you need to make a change on your application, please for the Admissions Office, but do NOT complete another application.

Step 2: Complete Your Application Checklist

  • You will be directed to the online Application Checklist.  You may complete the sections in any order, and you can save your information to complete it at a later time by clicking the "Finish Later" button.

  • When you have completed all sections of your application, click the "Application is Complete" button to submit your application. 


Step 3: Submit all required documents for admission to USC Sumter

Returning to Your Application

The Login ID an PIN you created in Step 1 will allow you to return to complete and/or submit your application.  All you will need to do is click on the "Admissions Returning User" button to return to the page where you will enter your Login ID and PIN.  This will bring you to the Applications Menu which will display all of your current applications.



Change of Campus or Apply to Another USC System Campus

Click on the "Admissions First Time User" icon below and complete the Change of Campus form. There is no additional application fee required. 

If you have applied to another USC System campus and wish to apply to Sumter, click on the "Admissions Returning User" icon below and complete the application for the type of admission you desire.
