United Way Campaign Begins

The United Way needs your help. As an employee of USC Sumter, you have the chance to give back and help your neighbors right here in Sumter, Clarendon and Lee Counties.  United Way of Sumter, Clarendon and Lee Counties is the local expression of a national and international movement.  The over 1400 United Ways across the country raised over $3.8 billion last year to invest in health and human services in their communities.

University Advancement

The Office of University Advancement is located on the second floor of the Administration Building. Under the direction of the  Assistant Dean for University Advancement, University Advancement's responsibilities include advertising, development, public information, publications, and promotion of the University.

The mission of the Division of University Advancement is to develop greater understanding and support for University goals, objectives, programs, and activities among many publics. Contact us by phone at 803-938-3733.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Brands the University and ensures that all materials used by University offices are in keeping with that branding;

• Provides the University with both internal and external information via the Synopsis and biannual newsletter, press releases, news packets for special events, and mailing lists;

• Develops ad campaigns for newspapers, radio, television, etc.

• Creates ads, special brochures and other materials upon request;

• Develops the structure and support materials for and then carries out development campaigns;

• Arranges for marketing studies;

• Coordinates the activities of the Alumni Association;

• Manages the campus Gift Giving Opportunities.
