Homecoming 2007

Thanks to the efforts of a great committee and the new Alumni Director Hayes Jones, the 2007 Homecoming proved that this event will get stronger and more popular every year. With a wonderful showing of alumni, faculty, staff and friends at the event held Friday, April 27, 2007, activities included a golf tournament, art lecture and the Friday Night Fling. Participants at the Fling danced to the music of DJ Howie and also took part in the honoring of the two Distinguished Alumnae recognized for both Clemson at Sumter and USC Sumter. The USC Sumter Alumni Association chose Sumter Police Chief Patty Jaye G. Patterson as the USC Sumter Distinguished Alumna and Dr. Kay Oldhouser-Davis as the Clemson at Sumter Distinguished Alumna. Both women have contributed enormous amounts of time and energy to the community and to the University and thoroughly deserve the recognition. The Alumni Association also provided six honorary lifetime memberships to the following: Dr. Charles Denny, Curt Edens, Sr., Phillip Edwards, John Logue, Dr. James Privett and John Varner.
