William Reynold's Prints
In 1995, the University of South Carolina Board of Trustees formally approved the establishment of the William J. Reynolds Gallery at the University of South Carolina Sumter. On October 14, 1997, the Gallery was formally dedicated. In it are displayed many of his original oils and more than 50 prints of his original oil paintings.
in 1999, the artist donated printmaking rights to the Sumter partnership of the USC Sumter Educational Foundation for 22 of his works which had never before been made. The Partnership, which owns the Reynolds Gallery collection and administers endowments for USC Sumter, decided to make and market new prints to sell and use the proceeds to establish and fun an endowment for the fine and performing arts. More than 11,000 new prints were marketed for this project.
