.The Admissions Office is responsible for generating all Transfer Credit Summaries for new applicants and sending them to the Office of Records and Registration for proper distribution.

.The Office of Records and Registration is responsible for mailing all Transfer Credit Summaries for evaluations and receiving all completed evaluations.  The Office of Records and Registration maintains a notebook on R:Base of all Transfer Credit Summaries that are sent and received.

.Once evaluated copies of Transfer Credit Summaries have been received by the Office of Records and Registration, copies are forwarded either to the advisors or to the Administrative Assistant in the Advisement Center.

.The Advisement Center maintains all advisement folders for students who are fully accepted in the Admissions Office, regardless of the term applied for.

.The Admissions Office is responsible for entering the specific concentration for all Aiken Business majors.

.Transfer Credit Summaries for undeclared majors are not sent for evaluation until the student declares a specific USC major. Advisors still receive a copy of the Transfer Credit Summary.

.A currently enrolled student interested in the Aiken Business Program should set up an appointment with the Aiken Business Coordinator.  The student who wants a transfer credit evaluation for the Aiken Business program will have to complete a "Change of Major" form through the Office of Records and Registration to indicate Aiken Business as his/her major.  The Office of Records and Registration will, in turn, produce a Transfer Credit Summary for the Aiken Business Coordinator to officially evaluate. The evaluated copy will be returned to the Office of Records and Registration, a photocopy will be sent to the student's advisor, the original will be filed in the Transfer Credit Summary files.

.If a student takes a course(s) at a non USC institution and submits the transcript to Admissions after enrolling at USC Sumter as a degree seeking student, the work is treated as transient credit and must have the approval of the USC Sumter Academic Dean or his/her designated representative to have the work posted to the student's record. The posting is done by the Columbia Campus Record's Office.

.A continuing student who requires a new Transfer Credit Summary due to a change of major, will be processed by the Office of Records and Registration. The Office of Records and Registration will submit the Transfer Credit Summary for the new major.  The Office of Records and Registration will be responsible for providing a copy of the evaluated Transfer Credit Summary to the advisor, and filing the original in the Transfer Credit Summary files.
