Knab Helps Complete No-Hitter for the Gamecocks
Former Fire Ants' pitcher Josh Knab (Carolina Forest High School) went on to complete a combined no-hitter in his first appearance for the Gamecocks against Albany on Feb. 24th. He faced 3 batters and had 3 groundouts to close out the game. Preceeding Knab during the no-hitter were outstanding perfomances by Colby Holmes and Forrest Koumas. This was the first combined no-hitter for the South Carolina baseball team since March 26, 1975.

All Fire Ant home games during the fall pre-season are played on the USC Sumter Campus practice field located on Theatre Drive, unless otherwise directed.
