USC SUMTER VOICEMAIL SYSTEM

USC Sumter has an Octel Voice Messaging System which provides voicemail capability for about 200 phone numbers, including all faculty and staff.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION

How do I access my voicemail from off-campus?
Dial 775-8727 or 1-888-USCSUMTER.

  • If you call during normal business hours, ask the receptionist to connect you to the voicemail system ext. 3450.
  • If you call after normal business hours, when you hear the automated attendant, press # on your touch-tone phone and you will be connected to the voice mail system.
Once connected to the voicemail system, just follow the directions provided by the system.

How do I check my voice mailbox from another USC Campus?
Dial 4-55-3450. When the voicemail system answers, press *, then enter your office extension and follow the rest of the system prompts.

How do I change my mailbox greeting when I am going to be away for an extended time?

  • Call the Voice Mail System (see the above directions).
  • Once you are connected to your voicemailbox, press 4 (Personal Options), then 3 (Greetings), then 2 ((Extended Absence), and follow the prompts from there. Once you have recorded an extended absence greeting, it will play in place of your normal greeting until you delete it.
