SUE A. SIMS

Director of Financial Aid, Scholarships, and Veterans Affairs

Sue is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has a BA in Psychology and a Master of Education Degree in Higher Education Administration. While a graduate student, she worked in the Financial Aid Office at UNC. A native North Carolinian, Sue has worked at several higher education institutions in North Carolina in financial aid including Western Carolina University, UNC-Greensboro, St. Andrews Presbyterian College, and UNC Pembroke prior to coming to USC Sumter in July of 1998.

Sue is responsible for the overall operation of the Office of Financial Aid, Scholarships, and Veterans Affairs. She is responsible for the Life Scholarship Program at USC Sumter and the awarding of the Star Scholarship as well.

Sue enjoys singing and sang alto in her church choir prior to moving to Sumter. She is an avid sports fan who also enjoys many different kinds of music from the 70's to classical.
