A native of Darlington, South Carolina, Antonio graduated from Darlington High School. He earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology from Claflin University in May of 2007. Antonio joined the staff of USC Sumter on February 14, 2008, in the capacity of Admissions Counselor and Recruiter.
Antonio’s public school experiences include teacher assistant, computer manager, parenting liaison, and mentoring director. He also has experience working in higher education with the School of Education at Claflin University and GEAR UP Program. During his college years, he was involved with the School of Education Ambassadors, a GEAR UP tutor, and Call Me MISTER member. Prior to accepting this position, Antonio served as an Admissions Counselor and Recruiter for Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, Georgia.
When Antonio is away from the office, he loves to read, travel, and is very active in community outreach and non-profit. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, listening to music, watching TV, going to movies, and going to church. Antonio is anxious to meet with prospective students and help make their transition from high school to college as smooth as possible.
