LIZ COSTELLO

Educational Skills Specialist - Math
Academic Affairs

I am happy to be a part of the Opportunity Scholars Program at USC Sumter. I look forward to answering your questions and assisting you in your math courses. I have taught math courses at USC Sumter since 1991.

I have a Master of Science Degree in Mathematics from UMass Lowell and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French and Secondary Education with a minor in Greek and Latin from UMass Lowell. I have also taken several computer science courses.

My first teaching job was at UMass Lowell where I taught various math courses as well as BASIC and FORTRAN programming. I also tutored students and worked for Continuing Ed there. I have also taught math at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska; Bellevue College in Bellevue, Nebraska; Metro Tech Community College in Omaha, Nebraska; and Daniel Webster College in Nashua, New Hampshire.

My husband is Dr. Robert Costello, a chemistry professor at USC Sumter. My son Eric is a student at Sumter High School.

Please feel free to stop by for any math assistance or just to talk. I look forward to working with you.
