Greg Keaton is no stranger to the coaching ranks. He comes to USC Sumter with 19 years of experience at the high school and college level. His main duties include working with the hitters and catchers, but he will be involved with all facets of the program.
Keaton’s most recent coaching stint was at Logan High School in Logan, WV. He is also a graduate of Logan and was a part of 4 state championships with the school as both a coach and player.
In between his playing and coaching days at Logan, Keaton was an assistant at Prince George’s Community College (Maryland), West Virginia State, Davis & Elkins (WV), and West Virginia University Tech. His collegiate coaching experience also includes summer head coaching positions in both the Mountain Atlantic Collegiate League and the Great Lakes Collegiate League. Keaton was also the head coach for American Legion teams in both South Charleston, WV and Logan.
Keaton and his wife, Billie, an Emergency Medicine Physician, live in the Sumter area.
