Christie was born and raised in Sumter, SC where most of her family lives. She graduated from
Sumter High School in 1994 and Francis Marion University in 1999 with a Bachelor of General Studies
in Arts and Humanities. Christie plans to continue her education sometime in the future.
Christie joined the USC staff in July of 2004. She is familiar with some of the responsibilities
of her job here at USC because of her past work experience. Upon graduation, she worked at Francis
Marion University as Administrative Associate/Campus Facilities Space Coordinator in the office of
Finance and Administrative Services. After leaving FMU she decided to try her hand in the medical
field and worked as a Nursing Assistant at Palmetto Women’s Healthcare. Christie is excited to join
the USC family and happy to be back in the University setting.
Christie has some ties to USC with her sister being a former student and graduate in 2002 with a
degree in Business Administration. Christie has one son named Victor, and they reside in Sumter.
