USC Sumter Soccer Philosophy
"The team is more important than
any individual player.
When we think, speak and practice soccer...
The games principles are more important than what each player thinks.
Furthermore, respect for the team and for the University...
for its' norms, for its' philosophy, etc.
is more important than any individual player."

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. John A. "Giovanni" Vlahos to the joint position of Head Coach for Men's Soccer and Head Coach for Women's Soccer at USC Sumter, effective February 1, 2008. Both teams begin official play with the 2008 Fall Semester. Giovanni earned his B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and has earned coaching licenses in both Europe and the United States.
