Membership in the Alumni Association is a great way to give back to your university. Annual dues are $50 for a single member OR for two members at a single address. Each member receives an individual membership card with all its benefits and privileges. Each address receives one mailing.

The quality and depth of its alumni can define a university. Their active loyalty and commitment play a vital role in striving to fulfill the university's mission and goals.
The USC Sumter Alumni Association held its first annual meeting on May 17, 1994. At this inaugural meeting, they elected officers and adopted the Constitution and By-laws. This momentous occasion came about due to the hard work and dedication of a small group of loyal alumni who desired to assist in the mission of USC Sumter. They stated their desire to support the students through scholarships and by promoting the continued growth and vision of the university.
Since 1994, the Alumni Association has continued to grow in strength and numbers. The alumni have sponsored the Big Wednesday Golf Tournament and Indoor Tailgate Party since November 1994. This annual fundraiser, along with the designation of fifty percent of membership dues, has enabled the Alumni Association to endow two scholarships, the Alumni Association Scholarship and the Big Wednesday Scholarship. They also continue to support various activities on campus and within the community.
Mission
The goals of the Alumni Association include:
- To promote the development of USC Sumter and the USC Sumter Alumni Association.
- To acknowledge the opportunities and enrichment that has been brought to their lives through association with the university.
- To support the mutual interests of USC Sumter and the alumni through vigorous efforts to foster the resources and opportunities offered by each organization, including the provision and solicitation of financial support for each.
The USC Sumter Alumni Association has chosen to provide scholarships to deserving students as a primary means of accomplishing these goals. Working with the Office of University Advancement, the alumni also work to develop programs and services to accomplish these goals on campus and within the local community.
